Batumi has no hourly meter. You buy a pass against your plate number - 10 GEL (about $3.70) a day or 20 GEL a week - and it is valid in every marked municipal bay, year-round, through the operator's portal. Enforcement is genuinely strict: the city towed over 3,000 cars in the first half of 2025, an unpaid bay costs 50 GEL, and the local habit of half-mounting the curb near the beach became a 100 GEL offence with a real chance of the tow truck in May 2026. Two blocks inland there is nearly always a legal spot.
